These are some sites my friends and I have visited over the years and either like or dislike

These are not adverts for sites you cannot book them via this website

You can, however, use the links provided or telephone the sites direct

You may not like these caravan sites as everyone's personal preferences are not the same. So please check them out yourself and don’t just take our word for it for them

This is a site you either love or hate BUT I'm not bothered about it

This is a Haven site

Read on

This site has a mix of Statics and tourers
Tourer pitches ALL hardstanding and at least 50 super pitches.

Each block of Tourer pitches had its own toilet block, each with pot washing and chemical toilet empty point fresh water and waste water points. ALL pitches had 16amp electric hook ups

ON site there is a fairly decent shop open long hours.
Other facilities include.....A take away, amusements, swimming pool,  bike and pedalo hire,  a family room, an adults only sports' bar , restaurant area (licensed)

The pitches are getting old and are cracked and most are not level any more. Most access roads have speed ramps that are too high for caravans, other 'roads' are ballast filled tracks. the pitches are made to take a car and caravan. The awning goes on the grass area which is usually at least 3" lower than the concrete.
Some pitches are occupied by 'seasonal lets' so they have usually pitched so the awning is on the concrete, making it necessary use the hardened pegs through the concrete to fix their awning 'permanently'.

All in all, what could be a good site is spoiled by lack of maintenance for the sake of profit.

The Mere is a bird watching area and there is no fishing

All holidaymakers are given a 'security' pass. This is supposed to be asked for when entering the bar/amusement area and when ordering drinks.

I was not asked for my pass the whole time I was there, so what good is security ("security" staff were too busy chatting girls up )
